We strongly adhere the concept of quality education and higher learning for capacity building and knowledge improvement. Knowing the essence of this a Quality Enhancement Cell has been established in The University of Faisalabad which will assure implementation of QAA policies.


Followings are the Salient functions of QEC.

  1. QEC is responsible for promoting public confidence that the quality and standards for the award of degrees, management and overall quality of knowledge being imparted at the University of Faisalalbad.

  2. QEC is responsible for the review of quality standards by auditing academic standard and the quality of teaching, learning and management in each subject area.

  3. QEC is responsible for the review of academic affiliations with other Councils / Accreditating bodies in term of effective management of standards and quality of programs.

  4. QEC is responsible for defining clear and explicit standards as points of reference to the reviews to be carried out.

  5. QEC is responsible to develop qualifications framework by setting out the attributes and abilities that can be expected from the holder of a qualification, i.e. Bachelors, Bachelor with Honors, Master, MPhil, PhD.

  6. QEC is responsible to develop program specifications. These are standard set of information clarifying what knowledge, understanding, skills and other attributes a student will have developed on successfully completing a specific program.

  7. QEC is responsible to develop quality assurance processes and methods of evaluation to affirm that the quality of provision and the standard of awards are being maintained and to foster curriculum, subject and staff development, together with research and other scholarly activities.

  8. QEC is responsible to ensure that the university of Faisalabad quality assurance procedures are designed to fit in with the arrangements in place nationally for maintaining and improving the quality of Higher Education.

  9.  QEC assure that:

    1. The facilities at institution for learning are appropriate, adequate and used effectively.

    2. The institution staff of all kinds namely; academic, support, technical and administrative is adequate and meets the requirements of academic standards and strategies for learning and teaching.

    3. The staff of the institution is competent to effectively teach, facilitate learning and maintain a scholarly approach to teaching and to discipline.

  10. QEC is Responsible to Develop Procedures for the following:

    1. Improvement of existing programs and approval of new programs in consultation with already existing body responsible for the task at universities.

    2. Monitoring and evaluation including program monitoring, faculty assessment, and  student’s perception.

    3. Developing a data source for accurate information regarding quality assurance which will be deliverable to all stakeholders.

    4. Departmental review.

    5. Student feedback.

    6. Employer feedback.

    7. Quality assurance of Master, M Phil. and PhD degree programs.

    8. Subject review.

    9. Institutional audit.

    10. Program specifications.

    11. Qualification framework.

    12. Overall quality improvements in institutional management/leadership.
