Functions & Activities

  1. The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) is headed by a Director reporting directly to Rector. He is to be correspondent with the outside bodies.
  2. QEC is responsible for reviewing quality standards by auditing academic standards, quality of teaching, learning, and management in each subject area.
  3. QEC is responsible for defining clear and explicit standards as a reference to the reviews to be carried out. It should also help management know what they could expect from the employers.
  4. QEC is responsible for developing quality assurance processes and evaluation methods to ensure that the quality and reward standards are maintained and promote curriculum, discipline, staff development, research, and other academic activities.
  5. QEC is responsible for developing a qualifications framework by setting out the attributes and abilities expected from the holder of a qualification, i.e., Master’s, M. Phil., Doctoral.
  6. QEC ensures that the staff rendering their duties in academic, technical, and administrative departments are adequate and sufficiently meets the requirements of academic standards and strategies for learning and teaching.
  7. QEC is responsible for improving existing programs and approving new programs in consultation with the already existing body accountable for the tasks.
  8. QEC also ensures the criteria for monitoring and evaluation standards for clarifying what knowledge, understanding, skills, and other attributes a student will have developed on completing a specific program.
  9. QEC is also responsible for developing a data source for accurate information regarding quality assurance which will be deliverable to all stakeholders.
  10. QEC is also responsible for uplifting the university by applying in International World Ranking and also maintains the education standards set by world ranking

    • Self-Assessment of programs
    • Training of Program Team and Assessment Team
    • MPhil and Ph.D. review.
    • Compilation of University Portfolio Report (UPR)
    • Conducting Institutional Performance Evaluation (IPE)
    • Monitoring of Classes
    • Conducting Peer Review
    • Professional Competency Enhancement Program (PCEP)
    • Yearly Progress Report (YPR) for HEC
    • Student feedback.
    • Employer feedback.
    • Overall quality improvements in institutional management/leadership.
