Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), The University of Faisalabad (TUF), hosted the regional session of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) National Leadership Engagement Series - "The Quality Compact" in collaboration with the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), HEC Pakistan, on Thursday, 16th July 2026. The event brought together Deans and Registrars from 23 Degree Awarding Institutions (DAIs) across South Punjab to strengthen institutional leadership and foster a shared commitment to quality assurance in higher education.
The session commenced with a welcome address by Rector TUF, Prof. Dr. Aman Ullah Malik, who appreciated HEC's continued efforts to promote excellence and strengthen quality assurance practices across higher education institutions. Director General QAA, HEC, Mr. Nasir Shah, delivered the keynote address, highlighting the session's theme, "From Conformity to Ownership," and emphasizing HEC's vision of transforming quality assurance from a compliance-driven activity into a shared institutional responsibility led by academic leadership.
The programme featured three interactive sessions focusing on the Pakistan Precepts, Standards and Guidelines (PSG-2023), the PERLI Golden Thread framework, and Q-CIRCLE, HEC's digital platform for continuous institutional review and quality enhancement. The event also attracted participation from industry professionals and students, encouraging broader engagement with Pakistan's evolving quality assurance ecosystem.
The session concluded with remarks by Vice Chairman BOG TUF, Dr. Hamza Amin, and Registrar TUF, Dr. Zahida Maqbool, who expressed gratitude to HEC for its continued support and appreciated the dedicated efforts of the QEC-TUF team in successfully hosting the regional engagement series. The event reaffirmed TUF's commitment to advancing a culture of continuous quality improvement and academic excellence in line with national quality assurance standards.
